Visual PCE 1st steps / ..2

During the design phase you can also add different properties to your script using 'FILE'–'SCRIPT PROPERTIES' like: Author, Creation Date and Primary Used Print Format. You can also add a comment at this stage. Ideally this can be used to create a Change History.

To save your new script, use 'FILE' – 'SAVE SCRIPT' or 'SAVE SCRIPT AS'. Select a Directory and Filename.
Visual PCE saves your script in a text format at the given location.

You are now able to transfer the script to your production platform (DOC1-Host Engine). If you run DOC1/PCE under Windows NT® (after specifying an INI-File for the script), Visual PCE allows you to start that script under 'FILE' -RUN SCRIPT WITH DOC1/PCE'. The testrun window will pop up and prompt you for the necessary path as well as the Run Mode (DOC1PCE or DOCDPCE) for execution.

Visual PCE will now execute the selected DOC1/PCE mode with the assigned INI-file. After completion of the script, Visual PCE will return to the script mode. Please review the assigned Log Files for further information.
